Two volumes create the sculptural form of this building: a textural ground floor with wooden formwork shuttering concrete walls and a sleek white rendered volume that cantilevers over the block below. The relief concrete walls surround the common areas in ground-level like a ribbon infiltrated with a playful series of solid and perforated metal panels that provide the necessary ventilation and privacy. The concrete wall at the end is being transformed into a welcoming gentle ramp leading to the entrance of the house merging with the landscape of the garden.
The interior of the house stands in between the frontal atrium and the rear garden, where a narrow strip of garden gravel is connecting the two, passing through the interior and blurring the boundaries of the inside and outside space. The woodworks made of white oak provide the warmness required to balance the cold surfaces of the timber shuttered concrete surfaces while the polished green marble forming the dining area floor and the kitchen island become the protagonists of the space.
